Disney Day 3

On the third day at Disneyland Shanghai I decided to do a little Ariel Disneybounding.    I was born in the year of the dragon, so got a fierce photo with Mushu.    We tried to chase down Chip and Dale in their fabulous outfits.    After our attempts failed we marvelled at the castle.        Who on earth would wait 2 whole hours for ride?   Samantha and I. That's who. We'd already done a lot of the things we wanted to do, the fast pass line looked to be over an hour wait after which they'd probably be out of passes, so we waited.    The ride was pretty awesome, especially flying over Sydney harbour. Obviously if you can wait less than 2 hours that would be even better.  We watched the parade again, but from the other side of the street.          Following a lot of standing around, it was time to get moving with the help of Hiro and Baymax.    Some young assistants joined them on stag...

Disney Day 1

Disney time can't be condensed into one blog post, so this is the first of three. Samantha and I continued our Mickey ears photos in front of iconic landmarks. In front of Shanghai Disneyland's Enchanted Storybook Castle our ears actually made sense.    I caught up with a couple of old pals and marvelled at the magic.            We spent half our day in Treasure Cove. We expected perhaps a wave from  Jack, but he approached us, and he was even talking to us. He asked us if we came by boat and wanted us to remember something, but he forgot to finish his sentence.     Samantha and I sussed out a ship.        I found a way to travel without a car.    Then a woman who barely spoke English, tapped me and said, "Photo." I responded, "Yes," and put my hand out to take a photo. It turns out she wanted me in the photo. There were about 6 of them there. I was in a couple of different photos with different people....
