Toy Story Hotel

With tears in my eyes and adventure in my heart I farewelled mum. 
 

Samantha and I were off to England to start new lives. 
 

We decided to take our journey through Shanghai. We opted for 144 hour visa free transit. If you are staying in Shanghai and have a ticket out of the country this option is free. Just find the 144 hour visa free travel line when you arrive at Pudong Airport. A lady in a uniform will come and take your passport and ticket, and there may be a little freak out about if she was legit. Well, she was, and they'll let you into the country. 

I'd read it should cost about ¥170 for a taxi to the Toy Story Hotel at Disneyland. We got in a taxi and Samantha asked how much it would be. ¥500! We asked if they could do it cheaper or we'd get out. It got down to ¥400. We were kind of exhausted, so accepted the new price. 

When we finally arrived at the hotel I almost cried because everyone was so friendly. Plus we'd already paid for our room, so they couldn't rip us off. 

The attention to detail in our room is Disney level. 
 

 

 

 

Our beds are incredibly comfortable. 
 

The bathroom is a great size and the shower wasn't too confusing. 
 

There are plenty of souvenirs. 
 

At the Sunnyside Cafe you can eat a buffet breakfast for ¥138. It's a mix of Western and Chinese food.
 

 

The best part about the Toy Story Hotel, aside from the service, is the photo ops.
 

 

 

 

As a former Pizza Planeteer I was pretty pumped.

Life at Legoland has been made that much better thanks to the beautiful bunch of brickheads I've discovered here.  Legoland Windsor Resort Some of my fellow brickheads and I have explored the park. Audition Adventures

Recently I attended a couple of auditions, which led me on wonderful adventures in old London Town.  The first audition was held at the Dominion Theatre.  This is the West End home of my all time favourite stage musical - An American in Paris.  The audition didn’t take place on the stage, but  it was cool to be in the vicinity of a ‘S Wonderful production.  My evening finished with a trip to the Harry Potter section of Primark. Hogwarts might not be real, but my love of Harry and the gang is.  My next audition led me to Oxford Street. On a whim I decided to check out the Selfridges Christmas windows.  Part way through my examination of the captivating details I overheard someone talking about lights being turned on. Disney Day 2

Our second Shanghai Disneyland day began with torrential rain. Our shoes and socks were soaked almost immediately and remained that way for several days.  Tron was the first port of call for Samantha and I.    The hour wait was indoors, plus the ride was unlike any other I've experienced. Inspired by the Tron movie (whatever that's about), you sit as though you're on a bike racing through a grid track.    Next came Space Ranger spin. It's pretty similar to the Disney World one where you shoot your ray to gain points, except I actually did well at this one.    Marvel Universe was next on the list. We saw replica costumes.      I decided I'm going to fight crime with Spidey. I'm taking suggestions for my superhero name.      Also, the husband hunt is over.
